ASAF membership consists of those National Sailing Associations and Federations who are affiliated to the World Sailing (WS) and who represent the sport of sailing in Asian nations recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

The membership of ASAF is voluntary. All Asian MNAs who are interested in the aims and objectives of ASAF may become members. Membership of ASAF shall only be acquired when the application has been submitted and accepted by the General Assembly and the appropriate fees have been paid.
