The 2019 ASAF Asian Windsurfing Championship and National Kiteboarding Championship was declared open at a spectacular ceremony here at Yangjiang, China. Over 200 windsurfers and kite-boarders alongwith officials, coaches and representatives of the local Government were present.
Ms Zhang, President CYA, addressing those present said “It is a great honor to be here with you at the opening ceremony of the Asian Windsurfing Championship and the National Kiteboarding Championship on the scenic Hailing Island. On behalf of the Chinese Yachting Association, I would like to extend our warm welcome to all the guests and participants and express our sincere thanks to the Asian Sailing Federation for its support”.
The 2nd edition of the ASAF Asian Windsurfing Championship is supported by the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Sports, Yangjiang People’s Government, Hailing Island Pilot Area Management Committee, Yangjiang Culture, Radio, Tourism and Sports Bureau, Nimble Group, and Yangjiang Hailing Island Maritime Sports Association.
