The Asian Beach Games have gotten off to a great start at Sanya, China.

This continental multi-sport event for beach sports will be held from 22nd to 30th April 2026.

Sailing events are taking place from 23rd to 28th April at Haihong Square, Sanya Bay.

President ASAF – Dr. Malav Shroff met with various dignitaries which included Mr. Thomas Bach – Honorary President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) , Mr. Ng Ser Miang  –  former Vice President IOC , Ms. Li Lingwei Vice President IOC, Mr. Quanhai Li – President World Sailing, Mr. Zhang Peng – Vice President and Secretary General – Chinese Yachting Association (CYA) ,  Mr. Su Ke – Vice President – CYA.

Technical Delegate, Capt Abdur Rehman Arshad and Principal Race Officer, Mr. David Brookes are also seen in the pics.
