Edmond de Rothschild Spring Regatta 2015

The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s 2015-2016 sailing season officially kicks off over this weekend of Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September with the Edmond de Rothschild Autumn Regatta.

This two-day, three-race regatta will feature over 100 boats in ten different classes of racing and is one of the oldest regattas in the region, with a history dating back to 1889.

The iconic Victoria Harbour will be the backdrop for this major event, which will also include a 75th anniversary celebration of the original opening of the Club’s headquarters at Kellett Island.

The Autumn Regatta, along with the Club’s Spring Regatta held last May makes up the new Edmond de Rothschild Regatta Series. The cumulative results of all classes of racing in both regattas will be used to determine the overall Regatta Series winners.
