Gamagori Left Waiting for Wind

All Asian Games sailing races in Gamagori were postponed until tomorrow as a stationary autumn rain front left the venue with little to no wind

Today’s conditions

Typhoon No. 26 remains south of Japan and is moving slowly toward the Japanese archipelago. Around Gamagori, the autumn rain front remains stationary, leaving the area with little to no wind. At 2:20 pm, all racing was postponed until tomorrow.

There is little anyone can do when the wind fails to appear. Nevertheless, it was a disappointing day for sailors in the Youth Mixed Dinghy and Boys’ and Girls’ Dinghy events, who were due to begin racing today but ended the day without going on the water.

Everyone is hoping that all ten dinghy classes can race tomorrow.
