Highlights

The Youth Mixed Dinghy (420) fleet raced today, with Japan maintaining a consistent lead.

Racing Overview
he five fleets launched at 10:00 am, and racing began on schedule in a northwesterly breeze of       around 10 knots. However, the wind gradually shifted to the west-northwest and weakened, while rain added to the challenging conditions. Two dinghy fleets managed to complete one race before the wind shifted further west and died completely.

After a lengthy wait ashore, a south-southeasterly breeze began to fill in shortly after 3:00 pm, allowing racing to resume. Ultimately, however, only the Youth Mixed Dinghy (420) fleet completed another race.
The Boys’ and Girls’ Windsurfing (IQFOILY) fleets started a slalom race, but the wind faded, leaving the
sailors unable to foil, and the race was abandoned. Men’s Skiff (49ER) and Women’s Skiff (49ERFX) races were also abandoned.

At 2:30 pm, AP over A was displayed for the Boys’ and Girls’ Skiff (29ER), Men’s and Women’s Windsurfing (IQFOIL) and Men’s and Women’s Dinghy (ILCA7 & ILCA6) fleets, postponing their racing until tomorrow.

Today was a reserve day for the Mixed Dinghy (470).
